I have eyesight problems and, possibly because of this, strong contrasts and bright shadows, whether in monochrome or colour, are of interest to me as this relates very closely to the way I see things. Ideas for my work come from the world around me. I live in a beautiful place and I enjoy depicting the landscapes in Dumfries and Galloway although buildings, still life and animals are also currently attracting my interest.

I have recently been concentrating on Drypoint printmaking but have also dabbled in gelli plate and linocuts. My style is continuing to evolve as I am able to spend more time developing new artwork

If I give people a reason to pause and enjoy the images I make, and enjoy making them, I will continue to be very grateful that I can.
