Accessibility
We aim to be as accessible as possible. Venue staff welcome all visitors with a brief introduction to the Mill. They will explain where things are, give directions about how to get around the Mill and provide a leaflet, which is available in large print.
The main entrance to the Mill is accessed via a ramp. There is a lift to all levels and accessible facilities on each floor. Chairs are dotted around the Mill for little breaks and to take in the view.
Parking Facilities – Free accessible parking is available 25 metres from the entrance to the Mill.
Wheelchair Access – The Mill has a lift to all floors. Please be aware due to the historic nature of the building the floors can be uneven.
Accessible Toilets – There are accessible toilets on every floor with grab rails and easy turn taps. The toilets on level 2, 3 and 4 can be accessed with manual or powered wheel chairs.
Assistance Dogs – Assistance dogs are welcome at Farfield Mill, with all dogs welcome in our Tea Room. There is water for dogs available in the Tea Room. There is a unmade path from the Mill towards the river, which is suitable for walking dogs on a lead.
