Laura Boswell

I am based in the southwest of Scotland and my studies in Japan and delight in drawing form the basis of my prints. I like to work with wild landscapes, devoid of human influence, especially on the coast where sea meets land. My interest lies in ideas of space and scale and the transient Scottish weather and light. I make reduction prints with many transparent layers and my goal is to evoke a sense of place and time in the viewer rather than to depict exact geographic locations.
