Children Visiting Farfield Mill

There lots of things to do at Farfield Mill. Visit the ‘Have a Go’ area on Level 4 to try your hand at weaving on a huge children’s weaving frame, a table loom or a card loom. There is also a big French Knitting Spool. If you are visiting on a Thursday or Friday you might find some demonstrators who can tell you about weaving or lacemaking.

On Level 2 there is space to do our activity booklets and sheets. These might be colouring, mazes or spot the difference.

There is always a children’s trail on all four levels of the Mill. Sometimes you need to find the sheep, but what is hidden changes throughout the year.
