Volunteer Board Director – Property and Buildings

Farfield Mill is seeking a new volunteer Board Director with experience in building maintenance, property management, construction, surveying, conservation or planning.

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of a much-loved historic mill and community-owned arts, craft and heritage destination in Sedbergh. As we welcome a new General Manager and plan the Mill’s development over the next five to ten years, we are looking for someone who can provide practical and strategic leadership on the care, maintenance and improvement of our buildings.

Working with fellow Board members, the General Manager, contractors, and other advisers, you will help develop a clear approach to property investment, balancing essential day-to-day maintenance with proactive planning, risk reduction and longer-term capital improvements.
