Carol Yates – Artist
Carol has always been creative. She studied art at school and was inspired to pick up her paintbrushes again in 2010, after a visit to a gallery in Holland. Her progress since then, is largely due to personal learning and development.
Inspired by the natural world, Carol paints wildlife and has recently enjoyed developing her skills with still life subjects. She works predominantly in soft pastel, enjoying its versatility, and uses mixed media for some of her work. She lives in the Yorkshire Dales, so considers herself lucky to be surrounded by wildlife and natural beauty for inspiration.
Carol delivers informal beginners’ workshops in her studio and is happy to demonstrate her techniques and share her knowledge with mill visitors. She will consider commissions and can be contacted here at the studio or by email at carol.yates216@gmail.com
