Annette McMillan – Glass Artist
Annette McMillan is a glass artist working in contemporary stained glass and fused glass. She studied for a BA (Hons) in Glass Design at the University of Wolverhampton, where she developed a strong foundation in material-led practice.
After graduating, Annette expanded her skills through metal forging, sculptural work and stained glass, bringing a distinctive depth and structure to her glass work. In 2001, she co-founded a studio specialising in the design and making of bespoke stained glass windows and fused glass artworks for public, private and commercial settings.
In 2007, Annette helped establish Stonegate Glass Studio, followed by the opening of a gallery in Low Bentham in 2009. Since 2016, the studio and gallery have been based in Ingleton, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
Annette’s work has been commissioned for a wide range of settings, including historic buildings, churches, universities, businesses and private homes. Her work is defined by a thoughtful use of colour, light and form, combining traditional techniques with contemporary design.
