Jill Clay – Artist

Jill uses Chigiri-e (ちぎり絵), also known as Japanese torn paper art to create beautiful baubles and vases. Chigiri-e is a technique where images are created by tearing and gluing colored paper, often handmade washi, onto a backing. The torn edges of the paper create a unique texture and a painterly effect, resembling watercolors.
