My favourite definition of tribe: “a group of families descended from a common ancestor” We all belong to the same tribe, that of humans. Today, some Indigenous peoples still live in balance with nature. As a South American, I was inspired by the Amazonian tribes. These tribes are disappearing because of disease, deforestation, pollution and so on. I chose to depict a scene where forest and man coexist in harmony. Man’s presence is discreet, insinuated by the presence of a boat and huts in the background.
