Towards Light: Spring developed as part of a series of works which are concerned with looking forwards, beyond the world we find ourselves in: unrest, climate change, politics, inhumanity.
It originates from a series of sketches and doodles in which the shapes interact with each other, using cursive, gestural marks. It was woven using cotton and wool, the ‘links’ supplemented with metallic thread to provide highlights
