Flight Pattern – Ellen Ramsey – USA
Inspired by Peruvian feather work. Flight Pattern uses surface embellishment in combination with weaving. The weaving concerns itself with just one aspect of its subject: a macroscopic interpretation of the linear design on the feather’s surface. The finished work mimics the appearance of a precious botanical specimen.
