The beautiful setting surrounding Farfield Mill has provided inspiration for my work. The original landscape has evolved from an industrial setting to one in which the buildings have been given a new lease of life. Nature has now re-established itself in the surrounding area of fields, woods and wildlife. The stream, once polluted with dyes, is now clean and clear.
My work celebrates this rebirth by presenting the landscapes as it appears in the 21st century. Woollen threads have been hand stitched onto a woollen base fabric to retell the story of the mill.
