Alby Wilson – Photography
My passion for photography started at a very early age, when my Dad would allow me to take photographs with his Kodak Brownie Camera, even today I still look back on my collection of family photographs taken with his camera and feel a sense of gratitude that I still have these priceless images that I can hold and more importantly share the story behind the image with my Grandchildren
Now we have a Paradox, how can share my story behind my images if we never meet?
I love this quote from Ansel Adams
“If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph” — Ansel Adams
To help with the story behind the image I always try to capture that one exciting, rarely seen moment in time, taken in unusual surroundings or events, my photography covers many interests including, wildlife, landscape, fast jets, and fast cars.
A wildlife example would be spending many hours on Loch Na Keal on the Isle of Mull, waiting for the White-Tailed Eagle to swoop down from the sky using its eight foot wing span to position itself perfectly over its intended prey, its talons stretching out to capture the unsuspecting fish.
The feeling of capturing this moment as a photographer cannot easily be explained in words, I hope i have captured it in my image.
While viewing my prints, I hope you feel the same excitement as I did when I captured these moments in time.
