The Living Landscape is an exhibition exploring two different Artists’ observations and interpretations of the landscape and the wildlife that lives within.

Every picture begins with the outdoors, whether a chance encounter on a walk, a fleeting sighting of a bird or while out sketching in the landscape.  From the dramatic skies to the swooping swallows within them, Jo and Lynn portray these moments in time within their work.  Visit the exhibition to discover what inspires these two artists and where they recommend visiting if you are looking to reconnect to nature.

Lynn paints in both oil and acrylic and likes to portray a sense of movement and light.  She is drawn to contrasts, such as stormy skies or shapes and shadows created by a gate, stone wall or a bridge.

Jo works in soft pastels, and is especially interested in British wildlife.  She loves the flexibility that pastel offers and enjoys experimenting with different techniques and ideas to portray texture, movement and light.
