Thoughts of an Old Country – Audrey Critchley

As a frequent visitor to Australia I have visited and flown over the Outback; the colours chosen are typical of these dry areas. I have studied Aboriginal art and tried to capture its essence in this design. I have drawn on all of these resources to create this impression of the outback which has been inhabited for 60,000 years by the Aboriginal people making it an “old country”.
