“The Circles of Time” by Mairili Harami Greece
I have been inspired by the shape of circles of the previous quilt. I love working with textile elements of the past such as handmade embroideries or lace. The pieces of lace are old. One of them was offered by a friend (her grandmother made it) and the second one was bought in a flea market in a Greek island. Time is evoked by the clock. Time is spinning, though in my mind it has not always a perfect regular round shape due to eventual difficulties. I think that my quilt is more interesting live than in photos. More delicate I would say.
