“Summer Hills Beckon” by Margie Jenkins England
When I received the picture of the previous contribution I was immediately taken with the use of colour. It reminded me of a piece of fabric I had dyed previously and which always felt like a sunrise or sunset. I love walking, and the combination of a sunrise or sunset and hills came to mind when planning the quilt. As the quilt was made in the summer, when the poppies, heather and field daisies are in bloom, they all ended up having a place and of course we needed a tree for shade!
I hope the quilt makes you want to walk up the path and over the hills, taking in the fresh air and beauty of the surroundings of the English countryside.
