Rare Earths – Janine Ayres
A cotton/silk mix fabric was dyed with Procion dyes and hand inked with Procion dye paste. The whole piece was machine quilted in plain and variegated threads.
The salt lakes of Chile at sunrise are a magical movement of colours which I have tried to capture.
