Mum – Sarah Ainsworth
Sequence of four hand stitched portraits of my mother taken from photos at four different points in her life. These show how the inevitable changes that natural ageing and life experiences can affect us. As a baby and a teenager, she was a reflection of her parents’ desires and aspirations, while as an adult her own nature and personality, freedom of expression and zest for life shone through as well as the weariness of 80 years of living.
