Wild is what cannot be tamed. It’s the case of the heron, this magnificent bird is very wary and will fly away if man comes to close. Once hunted and eaten, it is now amongst protected species. I can often see, some hunting near the banks of the Loire River where I live. I marvel at their majestic flight above the water. They nest up high in the trees. It’s this proximity that made me want to depict them in textile work.
