It’s Rarely Black and White – Janet Atherton

Inspiration came from an ancient alphabet from which I manipulated the symbols to create new marks. At the time of designing the piece there was a lot of manipulation of the truth in the Media, which seemed very topical to the manipulation in this work – things taken out of their original context and used to suit a purpose.
