Fossils – Julieanne Long
Woollen fabric has been manipulated with stitching and knotting to create fossil forms. Strips were cut off, knotted then stitched back on. Ammonite has been created using part of a muslin bandage and fleece. Fossils are the ultimate in transformation. Living creatures turned to stone, metamorphosing from one state to another.
