Colette Bain is a mixed media artist who has been exhibiting her work nationally and internationally since 2009. She’s a member of both King Street Studios in Lancaster and the Cumbrian Green Door Artists’ network.
Much of her work features sculpted paper figures mounted in tins or boxes. Through these she explores issues related to folklore, identity, relationships, and the way we see ourselves in other animals. She has also, more recently, begun to make bird sculptures mounted in old tins that borrow the look of taxidermy, and is happy to consider commissions for these.
