Claire’s current practice centres on the transformation of clay through the integration of materials sourced from a variety of environments. Each element—whether organic, industrial, or found—carries its own story, which is incorporated into the clay body to create sculptural forms that are both tactile and narrative-rich. This fusion of material and medium allows her to explore themes of place, memory, and transformation.

Her work is driven by a deep interest in how materials connect us to the world around us. She is drawn to the way textures, cracks, and marks can hold meaning. By combining clay with found elements, the aim is to create forms that feel grounded, expressive, and quietly reflective of the environments from which they originate.
