Chris Booth – Peace and Strength
I was introduced to tapestry when I visited Flight, an exhibition by members of the Weaving Rooms Darlington at Preston Park Museum, Stockton. I was amazed and excited by what I saw was possible with yarn. My friend, an exhibitor, encouraged me to come to classes and see if it was for me. I have been attending for over a year now and find when I am weaving I lose myself in the experimentation and am totally at peace. Working with textiles is totally new for me, I am just learning and excited to see where this takes me.
