Big Girls Don’t Cry

Monsters coming out of the bark of trees, unknown eyes leering at me, creepy orc hands ready to grab me and sinister characters lurking in the dark woods were the nightmares of my childhood. But I, the little girl dressed in white, had often been told that beyond the forest I would find light, the colours of the rainbow, and love. All I needed was the courage to face those monsters, remembering always that ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’.
