The Swiss mountains are a central part of our culture and country. However, their management is difficult. Therefore, in early summer, farm animals are moved to the various alps, where they spend the summer grazing the steep pastures. In autumn, the so-called« Alpabtrieb » takes place. The animals are driven down to the valley on foot. A true folk festival. Animals are decorated, people wear traditional costumes. The cohesion between man, animal and nature is still joyfully celebrated today.
