Illusion is a tapestry that references a painting by Gordon Perfect from Electric Brae near Ayr, where the illusion of freewheeling uphill can be experienced.
I have a strong childhood memory of my sister and me being taken there by our grandfather and thinking of it as magic.
The image is a view from Electric Brae: a view looking west across the sea during a dramatic sunset, another natural ‘magic’ event.
