Gemma Lousie Taylor – Ceramic Jewellery
To create her beautiful earrings each pair have been fired in the kiln three times. First to turn the clay into ceramic, second is a glaze firing and third for the gold decoration all of which is done by hand and unique to each pair of earrings. Average diameter of dish earrings is 15mm, with silver plated earrings.
Gemma is a creative ceramicist based in the very north of Lancashire, with views of Cumbria and North Yorkshire from her workshop situated in the Lune Valley only six miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. Gemma studied her craft in the heart of The Potteries in Stoke-On-Trent. Current collection works with the exploration of traditional making techniques and modern technology, together this allows her to use the materials she loves to achieve the intricate and detailed textured patterns in her work.
