The children were fiddly. I’m glad I found my steam a seam sheets.
When I saw the previous photo, the face and hands made me think of peek a boo,the black & white floor made me think of chess and games. That lead me to a game of hide & seek, in a wooded area. I only used fabric from my stash, a lot of which I have been given by friends who don’t save all their scraps and know like to use them. I’m glad I’d sorted them into colour boxes already. It was easy to find the fabrics, though I started using 2 which I swapped for others because they were too dominant.
Foundation paper piecing is a serious workout for my brain, but I only had to applique 2 sections that I’d got wrong, despite using numbers and names to define which fabric to use where. 2 joints in my pattern didn’t really work but sewing partial seams & hand stitching the last wee bit worked out fine.
