Flowers of the Field – Kay Leech

Following a workshop with Shelley Rhodes I decided to create my 2023 Journal Quilts in series using painted scraps from an old wild flower book, African bark fabric and turquoise felt.

I picked out words from the text and free machined them, together with an image that related to the words.

I mounted the pieces on brown card and used Secret Belgian Binding to create the cover for the book.
