Children's Craft table and trail around the Mill

Children's crafts are available on level 4. Hunt around the Mill for clues to solve a puzzle on the Mill trail and claim your prize. Activities and trails are change for each school holiday. Suitable for all ages, assistance may be needed for younger children.

Victorian Dressing Up Corner at Farfield Mill

The perfect solution for a rainy day! We have a selection of fabulos clothing, so children can experience what it was like to dress as in Victorian times. There is also a selection of intersting industrial Victorian items on our heritage section - come and see if you can guess what they were used for!

The Giant Bobbin

Help make the biggest knitted snake in the world...! Try your hand at French knitting on our giant bobbin and let's see how long we can make the knitted snake!

Proddy Rugging

Proddy Rugs take their name from the method of prodding the rag through the hessian cloth. Come and join us on level 4 and add to our proddy rug!

Weaving

Come and try your hand a weaving on our table top looms. following the instructions to make a plain or a twill weave. Which colours will you choose?

School visits
