Peter Stockdale - Landscape Photography
Peter's interest in photography began as a child, when he was fascinated by the images produced by a pinhole camera made from a shoe box, with a greaseproof paper screen.
When he retired from teaching, he moved to the Lune Valley with its wealth of photographic opportunities, and he has had the good fortune to be a studio artist at Farfield Mill since it opened in 2001.
Peter is especially interested in the patterns which occur in nature; from the detail of microscopic forms to the graphic design of the wider landscape.
"The challenge of capturing these patterns in the ever-changing light and weather conditions of our region can be frustrating, but it is also a most rewarding experience." Peter Stockdale
Recently, Peter has been experimenting with the artistic possibilities of digital photo-art by producing distinctive abstracted images.
Peter's studio can be found on Level 3.
