The work on display and mostly for sale in Farfield Mill's exhibition and retail galleries is by resident, local and national artists and craftspeople.
You can buy stunning and unique pieces of work created in their own studios by our Farfield Resident Artists and during your visit, you can often watch the work being made, and talk to the artists.
Studios to Rent
It doesn't happen often, but we have Studios available to rent, right now. If you want more information on costings and how to become a resident artits here at Farfield Mill please email Sara Last on firstname.lastname@example.org
Our exhibiting artists are part of a regularly changing programme, and come from all over the UK, many working in textiles, but also in all other artforms.
Our visiting selling artists are usually based in the region and their work ranges from textiles of all persuasions to ceramics, glass, metalwork, woodwork, leather, lighting, framed and unframed photographs and prints, and jewellery (a wide selection and growing all the time).
We also sell a large variety of beautiful, hand-made cards.
On certain weekdays, you can also meet our demonstrators on Level 4:
* Weaving Friends (Mondays and Wednesdays)
* Spinners (Thursdays)
* South Lakeland Lacemakers (every other Tuesday)
* Lunesdale Rag Rug Makers (second Monday and fourth Friday in the month)
Members of these groups are happy to chat to you about their current project and answer your questions. If you wish to come and see any of these demonstrators in particular, please call 015396 21958 to check when the group is next in the Centre.
