Clyde Olliver

Clyde is known for using slate as his primary material and the results challenge what is usually described as embroidery. During his year as Embroiderers' Guild scholar, Clyde maintained a blog which although now dormant can still be visited at www.clydeolliver.wordpress.com. Clyde is a member of the 62 Group of textile artists (www.62group.org.uk).

"I always start with the material. A friend of mine describes me as someone who wrestles with materials and I think thatís actually a very good phrase." Clyde Olliver
