Winter Light Over Swirl How. Oil.
Cloudshifting, Seat Sandal. Drawing.
Cautley Fells. Oil.
Mountain Ash. Limited edition print.

Annie's subject is the drama of continual change in the landscape. Whether she uses oil, acrylic, charcoal or graphite, drawing is her most essential visual language.

Annie makes studies at sites throughout the North, particularly the Lake
District, Dales, and also Scotland. She is absorbed by dramatic rock formations that reveal so much about their cataclysmic making and transformations through time. Shifting weather and light, add further layers of visual information, providing a dynamic mix of subject matter.

Ideas and methods evolve in the studio, where the freedom of spontaneity and memory also comes into play.

Annie studied at the Royal Academy School 1973-76 and has exhibited widely.
