WOOLFEST Cockermouth 28 & 29 June 2013 -Come and 'Have-a-Go'

Not many more 'sleeps' now until the big event!  We look forward to seeing you all again at our stand; and this year we've taken some extra demonstration space again.  So come along, say hello and 'Have-A-Go'... our experts will be there to guide while you try your hand at two different types of weaving,  while another, more complicated, style will be demonstrated by our dedicated Weaving Friends of Farfield Mill. We're on Stall D74-75 at the end of row D.

We agree, like many, that WOOLFEST just can't come soon enough.  So, for those of you wishing to whet your appetites during the lead up to the great event; and others who just cannot get enough, over the Woolfest period, up on Level 4 we're running 'have-a-go' at weaving opportunities on both hand and floor looms; also spinning, with demonstrators who will give some chance to try your own hand at the craft.  Like last year, we hope that there will be also be specific displays of lace making and rag rugging, with visits by have-a-go demonstrators to show you the way.

The programme of supported sessions, 11am to 1pm and 2.30pm to 4pm:

Have a go at any of the following crafts...

Spinners and weavers will be on Level 4 on Wednesday & Thursday 26 & 27 June and Sunday & Monday, 30 June & 1 July.

Lacemakers and rag rug makers will be in the Bainside Studio, Level 4, on most of the same days.

So this year, don't just watch in wonderment... join us, have-a-go yourself and get started.  There will be plenty of support, enthusiasm and encouragement.
